St Stephen’s Trust wedding photographer – Maeve & Ed.
Maeve & Ed’s wedding was at St Stephen’s, Rosslyn Hill, London.
St Stephen’s was built in 1864 and was in use as a parish church until 1977 when it became disused, for a number of years the church was occupied by squatters and faced demolition. Later the building was Grade I listed and leased to the St Stephen’s Trust who have done a great job raising the money for repairs and bringing the building back into use in the community.
It does seem a little strange at first to be able to hold a civil ceremony in an old church, but the building makes a fantastic venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
I photographed Maeve getting ready at her flat across London and then caught up with Ed at St Stephen’s before the wedding ceremony. Afterwards guests enjoyed the sunshine outside St Stephen’s before heading back in for the receiving line and wedding breakfast. Speeches and dancing followed.
Hi Simon, Thank you so much for the amazing wedding photos, they really capture our wedding perfectly and we are thrilled with them. We really didn’t notice you photographing us but you seem to have been everywhere! – Maeve & Ed.
