St Bene’t’s wedding Cambridge

Emily and John’s Cambridge wedding at St Bene’t’s church.

Back in March I was Emily and John’s St Bene’t’s  church wedding photographer. The couple live in America so all previous meetings with them had been on Zoom, it was lovely to finally meet them in person at The Graduate Hotel in Cambridge which is where Emily got ready and John met his groomsmen.

This was my third photography visit to Cambridge in 2023, it is my favourite city in the UK with its beautiful buildings and colleges.

It was a short trip from The Graduate to St Bene’t’s Church, which is the oldest building in Cambridge! There is 1,000 years of history here.  Emily and John had already legally married in America so the ceremony was a marriage blessing.  Afterwards the couple and their guests walked through Cambridge to The Pint Shop for a drinks reception in the upstairs function room, this was followed by dinner in a nearby restaurant and dancing back at The Graduate Hotel.

Emily and John wanted their photographs to be as informal as the day and booked me for my documentary photography.
