Hilton St Anne’s Manor wedding photography

On the 27th June I photographed Kate and Peter’s wedding in Wokingham, the ceremony was at All Saints church in Wokingham with the reception at St Anne’s Manor. Kate is a relationship columnist (at GQ magazine) and has written several books on the subject, Kate’s books include titles such as “The good orgasm guide” and “A woman’s guide to sex”, I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions as to what her books are about, needless to say we had a bit of a giggle about it. Kate is also Match.com’s relationship expert and she met Peter through that dating website.

Photography started with Kate having her hair styled at their home in Wokingham before catching up with Peter at the Ship Inn, which was conveniently opposite All Saint’s church. I’m always amazed at how many churches have pubs next to them.

The vicar, Rev. Colin James deserves a special mention for being so helpful in making sure I could get good photographs in the church as well as giving a good run through of the history of the church while waiting for the guests to arrive from the pub. It would be lovely if all vicars could be as accommodating, I was given a free run of the church to do as I pleased so long as I remained discrete, this helped enormously with getting fantastic photographs.

After the ceremony everyone went back to the pub for a drink before heading off to nearby St Anne’s Manor for the reception. My coverage ended with the first dance.
