I was very excited to photograph my first Persian wedding ceremony, in 12 years of photographing weddings I have seen ceremonies from many faiths but had never photographed a Persian ceremony, it was full of emotion and I doubt anyone had a dry eye.
This was a day of two ceremonies, the first taken by Stephen’s father at St Mary’s church in Welford just a short walk from Zahra and Stephen’s home. The Persian ceremony followed and took place back at the house in a crowded room which added to the intimacy of the ceremony. After the ceremonies the reception took place in a beautiful marquee in the garden.
It was a great pleasure to work with wedding planner Emily Orchard from take a vow who worked very hard all day, I even spotted her sweeping the floor.
