Judith & Tom’s wedding at Lords of the Manor, Cotswolds wedding photography.
Winter weddings bring their own unique challenges to wedding photographers, along with opportunities to take amazing wedding photographs. I was delighted when Judith and Tom asked me to be their wedding photographer at a very beautiful part of the country. Lords of the Manor hotel is located in Upper Slaughter, in the heart of The Cotswolds. A former 17th century rectory, Lords of the Manor is set in acres of beautiful gardens.
The light was amazing as I arrived in Upper Slaughter for a 1.30pm start, I used this to take a few scene setting photographs which will be the opening photographs for the wedding album. I then caught up with Judith as she had her hair styled. Next stop was down in the bar where I found Tom with the ushers and best man. It was then a two minute walk across the village to St Peter’s church in Upper Slaughter. Judith arrived in an Aston Martin rapide which looked amazing even though it was probably quicker to walk from the hotel to the church.
After the ceremony everyone walked back to the hotel where Tom had arranged a surprise for Judith, their two dogs had been secretly taken to the wedding and sat waiting to greet Judith.
Diner and speeches followed before Judith and Tom cut the cheese cake, my coverage wrapped up with the first dance.
