On Saturday 25th May 2013 I was the photographer for Conchita and Kirsty’s Leicester civil partnership .
Kirsty and Conchita arranged their partnership five years to the day after they first met at the arrivals gate at Birmingham airport. The couple met online two months previous to that, Conchita was living in Brisbane, Australia. Conchita had flown from Brisbane to Birmingham to meet Kirsty with the intention of saying for three weeks, this soon extended to six months before Conchita took Kirsty back to Australia to meet her family.
The civil partnership took place at Leicester town hall with Conchita’s family and friends watching from Australia by Skype. After the ceremony they had lunch with family and friends at The Case in Leicester and then went on to Hotel Maiyango for the party.
