Kelly & Greg’s Hengrave Hall wedding photographs
It’s such a tough job being a wedding photographer and going to beautiful wedding venues each week, on the 5th April I took Kelly and Greg’s wedding photographs at Hengrave Hall. This really is one of those venues that takes your breath away and even though I’m used to working at gorgeous venues every week I found Hengrave Hall stunning. Hengrave is described as a magnificent Tudor Manor, elegant, charming and timeless. I have to agree with that.
Hengrave Hall is near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, a short distance from the A14 but in a world of its own. After taking a few photographs of the exterior of the building I caught up with Kelly up in the bridal suite having her make up done. I have never seen a room with so many mirrors and spent the next hour trying not to catch my own reflection in my photographs. I then caught up with Greg greeting guests before the wedding ceremony in the Great Banqueting Hall.
After an emotional wedding ceremony with very unique individually written promises from Kelly and Greg featuring something about a zombie apocalypse (a new one on me) everyone went outside to enjoy the sunshine in the gardens. Kelly and Greg took ten minutes together away from the guests for a walk in front of the hall.
After dinner and the speeches the light was fantastic outside and a few of the guests made the most of the spring sunshine playing croquet and table tennis. I rounded off my coverage with the first dance back in the Great Banqueting Hall.
These are a few of the wedding photographs I took for Kelly and Greg at Hengrave Hall.
