Black and white documentary wedding photography.
I photographed Chris and Jen’s wedding in Scotland on a rather wet and dark day which perfectly suits black and white photography.
The weather was as wet as it could be as I arrived to photograph Jen getting ready in West Lothian before the wedding ceremony at St John the Baptist church in Fauldhouse. I’d had an uneventful drive to Scotland the evening before in beautiful autumn sunshine. Jen’s family gave me a warm welcome and a hot cup of tea as I started my photographic coverage of the day.
I caught up with Chris at the church as the rain continued to fall, St John’s is a lovely little church with real character and I know it had a lot of meaning to Chris and his family as his father had recently been laid to rest in the nearby churchyard, after the ceremony Chris visited the grave.
Winton Castle wedding photography.
Winton Castle is set in a large estate between Pencaitland and Tranent in East Lothian, Scotland. The castle isn’t over large which gives it a warm and cozy feel. Unfortunately the Scottish weather didn’t relent, which didn’t allow the opportunity for photographs outside in the grounds.
