I’m sat in a cozy country pub using the internet as mine has been off for a week due to a major fire at the data centre in Northampton. Having just blogged Anju and Ajay’s wedding below I thought I’d make the most of the internet before outstaying my welcome. September started with a long drive to Devon for Kristina and Anthony’s wedding at Buckland House. Buckland House is in a part of Devon that nobody knows and nobody has heard of. I have been asked a few times what part of Devon it is in and my best answer is in the middle of nowhere, past a few cows and about an hour down a single track country lane. It wasn’t until I arrived that I realised why Kristina and Anthony had dragged their wedding guests all the way from America to the middle of Devon. Buckland House is stunning and the best part is you can have it all to yourself for the whole week for less than the cost of a wedding at an average hotel. Kristina is from Utah in America and met Anthony at a pub in the UK where Anthony was working, her family made the long trip from Utah which involved driving for almost as long as the flight took. I arrived to find the groom Anthony in the bath, don’t worry if I am photographing your wedding, bath shots are optional. I then caught up with Kristina getting ready at the opposite end of Buckland House before photographing the guests arriving downstairs. The ceremony took place in one of the rooms in the house at 4.30pm and was followed by drinks on the lawn before dinner. Here is some of my wedding photography at Buckland House –
