Jasmine Harman is the presenter of a place in the sun on Channel 4 and has recently filmed a documentary for the BBC about hoarders. Her wedding to Jon took place at Great Fosters on a warm summers day and I was delighted to be their wedding photographer and capture the special moments from their wedding day.
I arrived to photograph Jasmine getting ready at Great Fosters, a venue I have photographed a number of weddings at. I then joined up with Jon before the ceremony in The Orangery at Great Fosters. I love this part of the day with guests arriving and all the anticipation. Jon was nervously looking at his watch waiting for Jasmine. Jasmine arrived and I captured a fantastic emotional image of Jon. During the ceremony I remain as unobtrusive as possible.
My style of photography is best described as documentary, I capture the day as it happens without prompting or posing. The only time I direct and pose is for a handful of family group photographs and a few relaxed portraits of the couple.
After the ceremony Jasmine, Jon and their guests enjoyed the gardens at Great Fosters in the summer sun before the wedding breakfast in the Tithe Barn.
